Major three-day auction offers complete 2,000,000-SF Alton steel mill facility

A rare opportunity is coming to the industrial marketplace as a complete Special Bar Quality (SBQ) steel mill facility in Alton, Ill., prepares to be sold through a major three-day online auction.

The sale will feature an extensive array of heavy steel-making equipment, rolling mill systems, plant infrastructure, material handling assets, and large inventories from the full closure of the 2,000,000-square-foot production facility.

Hosted online with bidding concluding April 8, 9, and 10 at 10 a.m. Central Time (CT) each day, the auction represents one of the most comprehensive offerings of steel mill equipment to come to market in recent years.

Prospective buyers can inspect the assets during scheduled on-site inspections from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT April 6 through April 8 at the facility located at 5 Cut Street in Alton.
