Sawing instead of groove turning: Ground breaking concept boosts material efficiency in ring rolling, with three machines in one

Dango & Dienenthal has developed an innovative ring cutting machine, RTM, which cuts rolled ring sleeves into individual rings by sawing. Thanks to this new process, material use and machining time in ring rolling can be dramatically reduced. The basic machine can be upgraded to a full line machining centre by means of attachments for turning, milling and drilling, as well as ultrasonic testing.
