MORE technological packages operating at NUCOR STEEL FLORIDA, USA.
As of December 2020, NUCOR STEEL FLORIDA (Frostproof, FL USA) started the new Danieli MIDA minimill. With a capacity of 380,000 shtpy, it produces coils from rebar #3 to #8 with coils up to 5 tons. This plant features the latest energy-saving and environmentally friendly melting equipment, which significantly reduces the overall CO2 emissions.
The Danieli 40t ECS® Electric Arc Furnace is equipped with the most recent MORE chemical energy package. This includes M-ONE combined injectors, machined copper bulged blocks and oxygen/natural gas valve stands. In addition, dedicated dispersers have been supplied for the pneumatic injection of both carbon and lime.
The EAF also features auxiliary packages to reduce human operation. Those include CATFIS automatic temperature/sampling manipulator, EBT-SAND tap hole inspection and sand filling. There are 20 continuous charging EAFs, with MORE chemical packages, in operation worldwide.
