Jiangsu Lihuai Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. sets on KOCKS reliable 3-roll technology for the 3rd time

Jiangsu Lihuai Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. (Huaigang Special Steel) has placed an order with Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co KG, Hilden, Germany, for the supply of a RSB® 500++/4.

Huaigang Special Steel (HSS) is a subsidiary of the Shagang Group, which is the 6th largest steel producer in the world and one of the largest privately owned industrial enterprises in China.

The KOCKS RSB® will produce straight bars within a dimension of Ø 70 to 160 mm and will be located as a finishing unit after the intermediate mill consisting of six stands in horizontal/vertical arrangement.

With the implementation of the biggest KOCKS RSB® 500++/4 in the existing bar mill line, it is the 3rd KOCKS block for HSS that will be commissioned after 2010 and 2019. This offers HSS the opportunity to produce high-quality special steel in various kinds of batch sizes to further expand its market share in the SBQ market.

The commissioning is scheduled for the beginning of 2022.
